Time from last BBL
Graft survival is usually reported around 60–80%. Volume keeps settling through the first year, then behaves like native fat. We recommend waiting three months before reduction.
Awake PRECISION SCULPT® · Beverly Hills
Brazilian Butt Reduction — reduction, reshaping, revision — estimated from the same details Dr. Justin Yovino reviews in consult: age, frame, original graft, weight change, and the percentage you want gone.
Your parameters
Same inputs patients bring to a consult: body stats, graft volume from the operative report, and how much smaller you want to be.
The procedure
A BBL reduction is gluteoplasty by power-assisted liposuction of the buttocks and hips. At Ideal Face & Body it is performed awake with complete local anesthesia using PRECISION SCULPT®. Tiny incisions hide in the gluteal crease and under-butt fold. You may sit afterward.
How the estimate is built
Graft survival is usually reported around 60–80%. Volume keeps settling through the first year, then behaves like native fat. We recommend waiting three months before reduction.
Transferred fat cells live. Gain weight and they enlarge; lose weight and they shrink. The calculator scales remaining graft and native hip/buttock volume with that change.
Younger skin retracts more predictably, so a larger fraction can come out in one session. Aggressive near-reversal is capped so the remaining tissue still looks supported.
Questions
Brazilian Butt Reduction (also called BBL reduction, correction, or reversal) removes excess fat from a previous fat transfer to the buttocks and hips, then reshapes the remaining tissue for a more proportionate contour.
It is a planning range, not a promise. Operative volumes also include the practical realities of lipoaspirate, symmetry, and skin quality. Bring the original operative report — it lists how much fat was placed — plus before photos and a clear goal (overall smaller, reverse the shelf, hips only, or near your original shape).
Patients come in months or years later. Full healing first. A minimum of three months after the BBL is the usual recommendation before PRECISION SCULPT® reduction.
Yes. The procedure is done under complete local anesthesia. The surgical portion is about two to three hours; the visit includes history, exam, photos, markings, and a mirrored review of the plan.
Yes. There are no sitting restrictions after BBR. Initial time on the back helps swelling settle.
