Q: “Hello, I did a chin fat pad removal and under cheek liposuction through the same incision under my chin. Today, I have an asymetric smile, my chin is uneven and does not look smaller at all. Under my chin there is lumpiness and swelling which i understand is normal. Will this go away and will my chin go smaller?”

Dr. Yovino’s Answer: All of these questions are best answered by your Plastic Surgeon but here are some general responses. I find that some patients appreciate improvement within two days while others may require 1-2 weeks of healing for satisfaction.

Ultimately, it’s takes about 3 months to reach a stability point in the healing.
