Breast Implant Removal (Awake)
Breast implant removal is performed comfortably in-the office without general anesthesia. Most patients remain awake but relaxed during the procedure, which typically leaves no additional scarring. Recovery is swift, with normal activities resuming the next day and full exercise within two weeks.


Patients often decide to remove their implants for various reasons. Breast implant illness has been a common reason as of recently. Patients have developed issues related to their implants and removal often makes them feel much healthier. The removal can be performed safely and comfortably in our office. They can be removed while awake but relaxed, without the need for general anesthesia. Others may require a short safe procedure fully asleep for about an hour. The implants are removed usually through the previous augmentation scars. The previous breast implant cavity is sealed and you are able to go home right afterwards. The results are instant.
What is the recovery like after removal of implants?
