The type of anesthesia that will be used will be discussed with you, prior to the arm lift, by Dr. Yovino. Regardless of what options are utilized, you can rest assured that you will be totally comfortable and pain-free throughout the procedure. After you have been anesthetized, Dr. Yovino will remove the skin and excess fat from underneath your arms as the two of you will have predetermined prior to your surgery. Depending upon the amount and location of fat to be removed, your overall appearance goals following the surgery, and your general health, Dr. Yovino will make the determination as to whether or not to remove the excess fat via laser liposuction or to excise it surgically. After tightening and reshaping the underlying tissues, Dr. Yovino will smooth the remaining skin over your newly contoured arm.
