Before and 5 months after circumferential areolar breast lift donut mastopexy. Although she was a candidate for a full breast lift, she opted for only a subtle donut lift. Not only did she only want a scar around the areola at the most, she desired a nipple elevation of about 2 cm. This procedure was performed with the patient awake and under local anesthesia. The downside of this type of lift is the areola, the area around the nipple, can widen. This widening is due to tension. The amount of nipple elevation is limited to about 2 cm. The upside is that the scars are minimizing.
